DESIGN TREND: Greenery – Pantone Color of 2017

At the end of every year Pantone announces a “Color of the Year” for the upcoming year. For 2016 they made and untraditional selection by choosing two colors, serenity and quartz. Emerging from this break Pantone has gone back to a single color for 2017, Greenery.

As we go into spring green is everywhere. It suggest rejuvenation and new life. It’s a great color to use as an accent and in conjunction with other colors. Following are some suggestions to use for incorporating greenery into your design.

Indoor Plants/Trees

Bring the outside in with someone indoor plants. They bring life to an otherwise acerbic room. Opt for life-like fake alternatives and you won’t need a green(ery) thumb.

Seating and Patterned Wallpaper

Whether a bold couch, an oversized chair, or some decorative accents, greenery will brighten up any room. Adding some green chairs around your conference or dining table creates intrigue and conversation.

Shake up your walls with a fun pattern and vibrant color! Use it on a single wall or whole room; the options and opportunities are endless.
